3 months old...

Well, it is hard to believe that our little Calloway is 3 months old today. She is growing like a weed and her little personality is starting to shine through. She weighs 13lbs. She loves to smile and is beginning to make many different sounds...I think she likes talking or at least hearing herself talk. She rarely wants to be layed back...it seems like she is always wanting to be held so that she can look around and when sitting in my lap she doesn't really want to face me. She is pushing up with her legs like she is trying to stand. She holds her own head up 99% of the time. Every once in a while she will have a little bobble. She isn't sitting up completely by herself yet but can mostly maintain balance for several seconds. She is trying very hard to grab at things, especially my hair when I am holding her. She is very alert and follows things with her eyes. I even think she was watching TV the other day. She is still a good baby!
We love her more and more everyday...and thank God for her everyday also.
HEre are a few pics I took of her this morning.

CRAZY STORY!!!!!

We were asleep last night at 12:45am when our doorbell rang. IT took the second ring before I was awakened but Mark had already gotten out of bed to see who it was. It was our next door neighboor saying that the next house was on fire and that no one get 911 on the phone. So, I grabbed a jacket (yes I'm in my Pj's) and my cell phone and headed out the front door. The house 2 doors down was very much ablaze. I dialed 911 and couldn't get through either. I also happened to have the FortWorth Police department number in phone and tried them. But they have one of those systems that says press 1 for such-and-such, press 9 for this-and-that, press 243 for blah-blah-blah. Things were so crazy outside that I couldn't focus on all of the options, so I just hung up and went to my neighboor Kathy's house because she has a police radio. I rang her doorbell several times trying to get her awake. By this time there were about 10 neighbors coming down the street and seeing what was going on. It took us another good 5 minutes to get the police to get the firetrucks. Finally, Mark got through to 911 on his cell phone and gave them the address. By this time, the wind was really blowing and we were all afraid that it was going to blow the fire to the next house (which is next to ours). Kathy was yelling at the police over the radio and it was crazy. Another 5-10 minutes passed before we heard any sirens. 4 big fire trucks, 3 small ones, 2 police cars, and a tahoe showed up to put out the fire. The house had been almost vacant for about a month. The couple has seperated and the man has been working in OKC. He came home about 11am today. The girl was at the house on Tuesday getting a mattress and a bunch of other things. It appears to be arson but we haven't heard yet. I went to bed at 2am and the fire fighters had it pretty well under control by then. Thank goodness that no one was hurt and that God confined the fire to only that house.
