Then on Tuesday afternoon Calloway had her 2 month well baby appointment and the doctor was very pleased with her progress.
Weight: 11lbs and 1 oz.
Height: 22 3/4 inches
She also got her shots and she did really well. I gave her infant Tylenol just before we left and she pretty much slept after the appointment and didn't seem to be sore or stiff.
Then Calloway and I ran home and got our cat Sundae to take her to the vet for her yearly shots and check-up. The vet said she looked good and that she had lost some weight (which she needed to do). This is the first time that I have taken her to the vet that she didn't try to bite her or get away from her...so I'd say it was a successful trip. Here is a picture of our cat Sundae.
Wednesday was spent cleaning house and running errands. Then my mother-in-law Roselyn came in about 8pm and Calloway spent some time with her so that I could get a few things done that I hadn't had the chance to do. I stayed up late helping Mark pack his suitcase for New York City. He and his mother, about 10 people from our church choir, our friend Ryan, and about 10 people from the Oratorio Chorus left EARLY Thursday morning to fly to NYC. They are singing in Carnegie Hall on Sunday night. I wanted to go so badly but it would be hard to carry a 2 1/2 month old around NYC for 5 days and besides I have to go back to work on Monday and they don't return home until Monday night.
Yesterday I left Calloway with Mrs. Jo (the lady who will be keeping her for us) for 2.5 hours for a trial run before next week so that I could run some more errands. When I left Joanna's house it began raining on me and then about 30 minutes later it began hailing/sleeting/freezing rain. I hurried into Target to get the things I needed because it was getting really cold and nasty outside. By the time I got back to Joanna's to pick Calloway up it was snowing. I got really excited because we haven't had snow in some time and I was secretly praying that it would stick. By the time we got home it was really coming down. I decided that we would go inside and snuggle up on the couch and watch a good movie. However, I soon realized I hadn't planned anything for dinner and I didn't really want to watch any movies we had and I was just plain bummed.....also a bit lonely. I discovered that being snowed in with a baby isn't much fun. I really wanted Mark here at that point. So, I began reversing my prayer in hopes that I could get out and go get some dinner (which I didn't do) and hopes that I would be able to get out today and mozey around town some. The Lord answered my second prayer. Today Calloway and I went to the FWISD Adminstration office to take care of some Return to Work paperwork, the bank, and the post office (where I stood in line for 40 minutes!!!). This evening we are going to go out with a friend and her daughter who is getting ready to turn 1yrs old next week. I need to get out of the house, it is too lonely and quiet there without Mark. I really miss him when he is gone. Hopefully he will bring us back goodies from NYC. I'm jealous because he gets to see 2 shows on Broadway: Phantom and Wicked. UGH!!!
Well, I've just rambled on so I'll get back to something for now and will update again soon. Have you noticed that I have been trying to do better at updating this thing more often?
