Since the week of VBS Mark and I have been waving a lot at Calloway and either saying Hi or bye-bye. Well, she is finally waving now. It is really neat to watch her observe a certain behavior and then start doing it herself. As a teacher I am truly enjoying watching her grow because I can constantly see the light bulb going on.
Here is a funny story for you....tonight I decided to keep Calloway in "big" church with us instead of letting her go play in the childcare room. Well, Mark got up to lead us in 3 songs and so Calloway and I stood up to sing. I stood her on the pew back of the pew in front of us so that she could stand and see what was going on. Well, we started singing and so did Calloway. Then she realized Mark was up there conducting and she started waving both arms around. It was hilarious!!! Everyone around us was laughing so hard and Mark was trying not to get to tickled himself. It was great!! She was praising God and having fun doing it too. I think that will be a moment I will always remember. It is definitely one of my favorites. Oh, another thing that sort of relates to the above story.... Calloway has been spending a lot more time watching Mark play the piano. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago we decided to let her sit on the piano bench with him. Well, she just put her hands on the keyboard and started playing (banging). It is great! I love that she is so interested in music this early. Anytime she hears music she always turns toward it and listens for a moment and then she gets really excited. Enjoy this photo........
Like father , like daughter.....
