9 months old!

Calloway turned 9 months old on Monday. I know, I'm a few days late in posting. However, here is the good news. She weighs in at 19.4lbs and is 28.25 inches tall. The doctor said that she is in the 70th percentile for heighth and 60 percentile for weight. So, her weight has come down some but they aren't worried about it at all since she is crawling. The doctor also gave her 2 shots and a flu shot and then we had to take her to the lab to have them prick her finger so that they could check for Anemia. This was the hardest part because I know how bad that hurts. I would much rather have blood drawn than have my finger pricked. I felt so sorry for her and she was really sleepy by this time and that just made her mad.

Anyway, at 9 months Calloway:
1) says da-da, bye or bye-bye, ba-ba-ba (I'm not sure what this means though), and ssssss (a very slobbery /s/ like a snake sound). It is pretty cute when she does these things.
2) has a new toy piano that she absolutely loves to bang around on
3) got to go to the zoo on Monday with the babysitter and her favorite part was the penguins
4)loves to be tickled
5) is still extremely social and WILL NOT sleep in public because she is afraid she'll miss something
6) has discovered her tongue and is constantly doing stuff with it

We can't believe how fast the time has passed by. It seems just like yesterday that we took her for her 6 month check-up. I have truly come to love this stage because you can physically see their developments and you can interact with them so much more.
