This year when I took Calloway shopping for Easter Dresses, I sort of let her pick her own Easter Dress. Basically what happened was, I chose 3 dresses that would 1)fit her and 2)I would approve of her wearing. As I showed her the dresses she immediately reached out and grabbed one, hugging it to her chest, she said "This MINE!" Therefore, that is the dress we bought and the dress she wore.
Now, I on the other hand had a horrible time finding a dress because 1)I think it's cute when families all dress in the same color scheme 2)Calloway had a chosen a dress that didn't come in as very popular color for this spring apparently. Well after several stores and the mall, of course, I came across 1, I repeat ONE dress in the whole of Fort Worth that was even remotely in the same color scheme as Calloway's dress. Thank You Macy's! However, there was no price tag on the dress and no where in that store was there another dress exactly like mine for me to look at a price tag. After trying it on in the dressing room, loving it, calling Mark for his approval (like he could really do much), I went out on a limb and bought the dress.
Then it was on to Mark's attire. Remember, I have this thing where I think everyone should be on the same color scheme.....well, the wheels and gears in my head began turning and I remembered the shirt he had for his brother Adam's wedding, plus his new brown suit, plus a very lovely paisley tie that I had got him not so long ago. AND botta-bing-botta-boom. THere you have it.
One family complete with Easter Attire!
Later, Easter afternoon we spent time with our dear family friends, the Olson's. Calloway had a great time trying out her new sidewalk chalk, hunting eggs, and just playing with Kristen and Courtney!
