Swim Lessons Day 3

This summer we decided that it was important for Calloway to begin taking swimming lessons, after all everyone needs to learn to swim at some point! Well, as you read on Monday, Day 1 of lessons didn't go so well. Yesterday she only cried the first 5-10 minutes of class and every once in awhile if she saw us through the double blue doors. Sometimes we sat in the hall hoping that would help.

Well today we decided that to stay in there and watch. Here she is with Miss Allison (her swim coach) learning how to swim while kicking her feet.

In this next picture you can see how Calloway spent most of the class (with Miss Erin, the lifeguard). This picture is a little harder to see but basically, the kids get in the superman position (holding arms out in front of them) and Miss Allison gives them a push and they reach for the wall. She does push them underwater a little. Calloway has done great with this all 3 days!

At the end of class before they can "climb out and go dry off" they have to do 2 or 3 big jumps into the water. Here they are at the end of today's class!
