YCMT 2011 - Day 5

Friday morning began with about an hour drive to Stanton, MO where we went to Meramec Caverns which was once the hideout of Frank and Jesse James (famous stagecoach robbers).
There were mnay neat formations inside the caves.

Of course gift shops can always bring about a little fun.
Courtney, Sydney, and I had a blast with these hats.
Then we went to the Bethesday Day Club which is a place for people to take their grown children during the day while they work. For instance if someone had an adult child with mental issues or physical issues, or if someone was taking care of their elderly parents, they would bring them here and drop them off (similar to a daycare) for the day while they go to work.
We sang a concert for them
and then the girls went across the street to serve ice cream for the Assisted Living center's Red Hat party. And the guys stayed at the Day Club and played bowling with the people there.

Then we went to the Boathouse in Forest Park for an evening of rest and relaxation.
First we did paddle boats for an hour, in the heat! That was definitely relaxing..... ha!
And then we had a nice dinner inside the boat house.
This pink lemonade was so refreshing after all that heat!
I ordered the Southwestern Grilled Chicken Sandwich with the White Bean Chicken Chili for my meal and it was so good! The sandwich was served on a Corn Roasted Kaiser with cheese, lettuce, tomato, guacamole, bacon, and this special sauce. Ummm! It was so good I wish I could have another on!
