Easter Festivities

Preschool

The festivities began on Thursday at Calloway's preschool with a party in their classroom. Of course there were lots of edible goodies.
Then they went outside and lined up for the Easter Egg Hunt.
(The boy to the right of Calloway is her best buddy Ryder.)
Here's my girl hunting eggs.
Looks like she found some......
She and her friends were all running in a line to find the eggs.

Lake Whitney

On Saturday, we went with our friends, "The Olson Family + John", to their family Easter Egg Hunt and Picnic at Lake Whitney. They've invited us to go every year and we never been able to. So, this year we took advantage of it. Here's Cal with her basket all ready for the Easter Egg Hunt.
And off they went......
It was so funny to watch how selective she was about which eggs she picked.
Here she is with an almost full basket.
I'd say she made out pretty well.
Then of course, we had to open every egg and see what was inside.
Don't forget to takes of all the kids in the blue bonnets.
Hanging out on the dock and looking at the turtles was pretty fun too.
Then to end the day by cooling off in the swimming pool.
Yes, she went swimming at the beginning of April. Yes, the water was slightly cold!
But she had a great time while it lasted!

Easter Morning

The day began with a visit from the Easter bunny.
(Sorry the picture is sideways. I kept rotating it but it wouldn't stay!)
This is Calloway's beautiful Easter dress that she picked out.
Here she is with Kristen and Courtney.
Then we went to the Olsons for lunch and of course bubble blowing. It is a yearly tradition.
And Cal had a turn....
Then it was time to make brownies with Courtney.

We had a great Easter weekend! It was very busy but I'm so thankful that we got to spend it with our very dear friends, the Olsons. They have adopted our family and we have adopted them. It's going to be really hard to say good-bye. We love them so much!
