Welcome to Shawnee

Well family and friends we are finally getting settled here in Shawnee. It has been an interesting, at times frustrating, exciting, and surprising adventure getting here.

I thought I'd begin by first giving you a quick little tour of our house. Today we will begin with touring the outside of our home.  This is the view from the street.

*Disclaimer: There is a company coming to trim back all shrubs and bushes.

The owner knows that they are severly overgrown. 

Here is a little closer up of the front door and to the left is the dining room.

On the right side of the front door is the living room.

This is the north side of the house and you can see our long narrow driveway. 

Here is a close up the front porch with access from the driveway.

Yes, it is in need of a repainting. Perhaps in the future.

This is the north side of our house. That is the "back door" that we enter and exit through.

The small window to the right is the kitchen and the windows to the left are into the library/music room. The back door opens into the laundry room.

This is the garage at the back and there is a gate into the backyard between the garage and the house. The small window you see is in the master bathroom. 

This is the backyard.

It is very small but there is a park just down the street so we can go over there and run and play.

Looking at the back of the house from the backyard. You can see there is a fairly large concrete patio area. Perhaps someday we will have a patio set or something set up out here.

That window is above the master bath tub. 

And that is the tour of the outside of our new home.

We are almost ready for overnight visitors!
