Several of our friends from church were forming a t-ball team through the YMCA this year and asked Cal if she wanted to be on the team. Since she's never participated in any sports of any kind, I thought this might be a good opportunity to give her chance,
and personally knowing both of the head coaches.....that sealed the deal!
*Before you go criticizing my clothing matching skills during her first practice, let me explain. I know, a navy shirt and pink shorts don't actually go together, but when you consider that the shirt actually looks like this.....
I thought it might be easier for her teammates and coaches to remember/learn her name on the first day of practice......see?!?!? What? An overachiever mom you say.....well......maybe a little. But at least if made me feel good for her wearing it! Besides it was a present from Aunt Laci and she loved it!
First game of the season. Do you know how hard it is to find little girls gray athletic shorts to fit someone her size!?!?!? Oh my gosh! Good thing I bought the only 2 pair they sold at Academy!
I thought pig tail braids with pink barretts would be awesome and maybe add a little girly-ness to it!
We are the Dodgers and Cal is #2!
