Dec 6 Snow Day

A couple of months ago we got a pretty good snow. 

We were so excited to have snow before Christmas and a day out of school.

Calloway wanted to build a snowman but the snow was really dry and powdery.

So we tried sledding instead.

The steepness of our driveway was the perfect hill to go down. Of course Mark was the at the bottom to keep her from sliding on out into the street, even though there was basically no traffic what so ever.

After a few rides down the hill, she was done and wanted to go inside.....

so that was the extent of our snow day fun! BUMMER!!!!

There's just something magical about the glow of Christmas lights in the snow. 

Then two days later, we got ICE!! 

Look how long these icicles were that were hanging on our front porch! 

And her friend Will came to play on one of those snow days. 

But according to the forecast it looks like we might get more this week.
