Yesterday we had our second appointment. We got to listen to the baby's heartbeat which sounded kind of like a washing machine. The nurse told us that it's heartrate was 154 which is supposedly average (but according to my internet research the range is from 130-160, so to me 154 seems a bit high). I had only gained one pound this past month which is probably due to the fact that I couldn't manage to keep lots of my meals down. They had also gotten the results of my blood tests and everything came back clear. YEAH!
This is week 13 which means we are officially in the second trimester now and things should be looking up for the next several months.
Dr. Robbins told us that when we go for our August appointment that we would be able to find out the sex of the baby! YEAH! So, until then we'll just keep updating you on how things are going. Our next appointment is July 17th.
