A girlfriend of mine recently posted this title and after reading her blog, I decided to do likewise. We have now lived in Fort Worth for 2.5 years and this is now our home. Even though the majority of my family lives in Arkansas the folks around here make this home. For instance, I have my own sets of grandparents. There are Bob and Pat Worrell who are always there for us. Granny Pat as we call her is so full of fantastic advice and she accessorizes extremely well. Papaw Bob always brings a smile to your face. Then there is Terry and Barbara Martin who never miss the opportunity to take care of our little Calloway. Mr. Terry always takes Calloway out to the garden, for a swing on the back porch to watch the birds, and for walks around the yard. Mrs. Barbara whom I have posted about before just adores Calloway and has tons of pictures of her on their fridge and she helps out in the nursery at church. AND there is Seth and Joyce Cotharn who have taken care of me so many times when I was sick. Joyce sat in the hospital with me the whole day while I tried to pass some kidney stones. How many people could give up a day to do that?!?!??! She is truly an encouraging friend, prayer warrior, and a great mom/grandma. Then of course there are the aunts and uncles. Aunt Jo who is really Joanna Warren, a fantastic mother of 4 boys who is always a back-up sitter when we need her and a very dear friend of mine who I confide in the most. She is full of wisdom and experience. Uncle Clayton and Aunt Nancy (as we call them)are great friends of mine and Mark's. There are near our parents ages but we love their values, the way they conduct their 2 girls Kristen and Courtney (who are Calloway's adopted cousins), and we really enjoy hanging out with them. Nancy is a teacher and she and I connect on that level. Kristen and Courtney and myself can't pass up a shopping trip and then Mark and Clayton are very literal, puzzle doing, computer geeks, who talk about all kinds of weird stuff...but they're great together. Of course they all ADORE Calloway. There is also Aunt Sarah who is Aunt Jo's real life sister. She is Connor's mom and loves Calloway also. Our Church Choir doesn't really get family titles exactly but we know that if we ever needed any of them, they'd be here in a heart beat. Each member of the choir has a special place in our hearts and they are so supportive of Mark and his ministry that it makes our lives at FBC much more enjoyable. Here is another video that I shot this afternoon of Calloway crawling. I think the lighting is much better. She is really saying bye-bye and dada alot but for some reason she wouldn't do it on video....you'll see . She also waves a lot and again wouldn't do it for the camera.
You are so fortunate. I wish I could say the same.
