4+ days and counting....

For awhile now when I get home from work in the evenings we have been putting big girl panties on Calloway and practicing using the potty. But Saturday night, we were at our Sunday School fellowship at the church when all of a sudden Calloway tells me that she needs to go potty. Well, I drop everything and run her to the bathroom, basically rip the diaper off of her and sit her on the potty and gues what...... she peed! I was so proud of her! Then Sunday morning I sat her on the potty while I ran her bath and hoped that the running water would trigger some more pee. Well, I got the bath ran and asked her if she was ready to get in the tub. She replied with, "No Mommy, I pottying!. I said fine and allowed her to sit there another or minute or two. Then after asking her about 3 or 4 times and her continuously telling me she had to potty, she did! Again, I was super proud!
So, Monday I sent her to the babysitter's with big girl panties. She didn't have any accidents and even slept through her nap with dry panties. Tuesday we had 2 accidents, and Wednesday we had 3, but today she didn't have any!
She is getting really good about telling us when she needs to go! So that is why it is 4+ days and counting!

On another note, Mark has been gone every night this week getting ready for his 3 performances of Beethoven's 9th Symphony with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the Seminary's Master Chorale. Anyway, last night on the home from church Calloway said, "I go home and see daddy." I told her that I wanted to go home and see daddy too but that he would not be home yet. Then she said to me, "No mommy, my daddy, not yours!" It was really cute.

Also, she has been singing songs in the car lately on her own. She has learned "This is the Day", "Row, row, row your boat", "Zippity-Doo-Dah", and "Itsy-Bitsy Spider".
Her new favorite rhyme is Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.
