First off let me start by saying that since school started back we have had something to do every weekend and we've been so busy. Hopefully I can get things caught back up on the blog.
The early part of August, Cal and I made a quick trip to Arkansas for me to see my SIL Sarah so she could cut and color my hair.

When I pulled out my suitcase to start packing, someone decided she should help.
Then decided it was a great place to paly with her animals.
Or actually maybe it would make a better boat!
Anyway, it was off to Arkansas to see my family. No trip to Arkansas is complete without a tractor ride. (*And just an aside.....yesterday Calloway informed us that when she grows up she is going to be a sea diver first, and then a doctor, and then a tractor rider.) I knew that would make her Poppy proud! She always wants to ride the tractor.
On Tuesday morning while sitting at my mom's house, she was using the guest bathroom toilet and I was in the office on the computer when I heard a loud scream! I jumped up and ran to the bathroom to see what the matter was. Well, my mom had got up off the comode and seen something darkish in color just under the seat of the toilet. At first she thought Calloway had just pooped and missed until further inspection where she discovered it was a toad. YES! A frog in her toilet. I immediately fell into laughter and couldn't pull myself together for quite some time. I just kept envisioning in my head, my sitting there using the toilet and that frog suddenly jumping onto her rumpus.....see you're laughing too aren't you!
Well of course we just couldn't leave the poor amphibian there to jump on someone's rumpus so we quickly closed the lid to the toilet and began devising a plan to extract the frog from the commode. We thought about calling in a frog extractor but weren't sure where to find one. After a few calls to family members so that they could enjoy a good hearty laugh with us
we finally came to the conclusion that we were going to have to extract him ourselves. Well mom and went got a cup and was able to get him, "it" into the cup and then the thing started to act like it was going to jump out of the cup, which obviously scared my mother half to death. So, she quickly dropped the toilet lid onto the top of cup so that "it" couldn't make his escape. Then she found something lying in the bathroom that she could slide over the top to keep him from escaping and she carried him proudly over to the back door where he took a flying leap into the wild unknown!
And that is the end of our frog commode tale......ha!
On Tuesday afternoon Cal and Sassy enjoyed a little rest time on the couch together.
On Tuesday evening we got to go over and see the my Aunt Susan and her daughter Sophia, granny, LeAnn and Lauren came over also and the girls swam. We had a great time just hanging out.I love going to visit my family in Arkansas and many times wish that we did live a little closer. Especially so that these two girls could spend more time growing up together.
That frog is something else! Ha! : )
