Ok, so today was a HUGE first day of school in our house. I started my 8th year of teaching (7th at CMS) and Calloway started her first day of preschool. We had open house on Thursday night and it was neat to get to see her classroom and meet her teacher. There are 9 total kids in her class, 5 girls and 4 boys.
I fully and completely admit to having bawled my eyes out this morning, but you see.....when I left the house at 6:50am, Calloway was still asleep, which means I didn't get to kiss or hug her goodbye on her first day of school, Mark got to dress her, fix her hair, pack her lunch, take her first day of school pictures, AND drop her off at her new school. WOW! That's a lot of firsts that I didn't get to do!
Luckily I left the camera with him and this is what he captured.......

I was a very proud momma to have received these pictures and then I checked her backpack for her folder to see if there were any notes from her teacher.....AND there was.
She said that Calloway did free play, coloring, circle time, ate all of her lunch, slept at nap time and had to be wakened by the teacher, shared, helped, played nicely, listened well, followed directions, was very sweet and helpful, outgoing, and happy today! She also said that Calloway had a great day!
That's my girl! So proud of her!
