Fall Festival

It all started back in April when Calloway was watching Scooby-Doo one day. She out of the blue kind of said that she wanted to be a ghost for Halloween. At the time I said ok but didn't really give much thought to it until off and on all summer she kept randomly repeating that she wanted to be a ghost for Halloween. I really wasn't keen on the idea still but thought that maybe this to would pass. By the time August/September rolled around and she still wanted to be a ghost, I decided I was going to have to put in some research to find the cutest ghost costume that there was. Well, I came across an old friend's pictures on facebook where one of her daughters had been a ghost the year before and it was the most adorable ghost I had ever seen. She had turned a pillowcase dress into a ghost costume. So I sent the pictures to my personal seamstress (a.k.a my mom) who can sew/make just about anything and together this is what we came up with!

I was a proud parent of the cutest ghost I'd ever seen in my whole life of Halloween!
I am so thankful to have such a talented momma who can help me in these kinds of binds.

Of course no Festival isn't complete without getting your face painted AND done by none other than one of your most favorite teenagers - Kristen!
Jumping the bounce house was definitely a highlight of the evening.
Oh, and don't forget the train!
Then our friends Caleb and Kate arrived and these two became train buddies!
They were practically inseperable the whole night.
Here they are listening to "Tales from the Pumpkin Patch".
Her little friend Tori.
Here are Caleb (Peter Pan) and Kate (Tinkerbell). My friend Becky (their mom) made their costumes!
She is very talented as well!
Her little friend Logan. I think she was more excited that he was dressed as Woody, than he was!
Mr. Timothy telling all about the pumpkins.
Riding the train together again!
Petting Boomer's dog named Oscar.
Having some nachos and hot dogs.
Calloway and Brinley
Her little friend Autumn Sunshine.
She had a blast this year and was more concerned with riding the train and jumping in the bounce house that we didn't really hit up the trunk-or-treat cars nor come home with much candy! Let's just say that Momma was excited about that!

I hope you had a great Halloween or however your family chose to celebrate!
