The Untalked About

I have yet to write about this because it is a difficult thing to talk about and a difficult thing for other's to hear and respond to. I had a miscarriage last month. I was about 6-7 weeks pregnant and we were so excited that God was going to bless our little family with another baby. This is something we had been praying about for over a year and had been trying for for 3 months.
We are doing ok. We are managing and continuing on one day at a time. Some moments are harder than others but the most difficult moments are when others find out. What do you say to a person that has just lost a baby? How are they going to react? How are you going to react?
So, in a way we've been suffering in silence. But it's time for that to be over and to move on. So I am sharing with you today. We had a miscarriage.
At first Mark took it harder than I did. It was hard to explain to Calloway but she still has hope and continues to talk about her baby sister.
Yes, we will try again. But in the mean time, we'd appreciate your prayers and support and love.
It's okay for me to talk about it now, but it can be awkward. If you've ever experienced this then you know. And I am truly sorry for your loss as well. Sometimes a hug and word of "we're praying for you" is all that is needed.
Thank you for listening!

  1. Cari, I'm sorry for your loss. I'm adding you and your family to my prayer list.
