Which to give?
That is the question.
It's been 8 years.
We've spent 8 years as a married couple and I didn't even blog ON our anniversary this year!
Perhaps it was due to the fact that it was the day before school started and we had an open house that night at my new school. We did manage to catch a quick dinner together at Subway and swap presents.
This year I got Mark a project. You may know of his love and passion for puzzles. This wasn't your average puzzle nor was it necessarily a hard puzzle but the trick was that he had to put it together and build it. What is it you ask? Merlin's Casket. This is what the final product should look like when he' finished.
Mark, has spent many evenings working on his puzzle box and he is nearing completion.
But I'll let him tell you all about it in another post. Yep, you might actually get a post from Mark soon. I don't think he's posted since Calloway was born.
Mark surprised me with an anniversary getaway this year. This is the first time we've ever done anything like that and we had a great time. He got us a Bed and Breakfast package complete with a Murder Mystery dinner. The murder was set in the 1930s and we were supposed to come dressed and ready to play our parts. Mark was the family attorney, Forrest Lawne and I was his newly wedded wife, Virginia. I came from New Orleans and not much was known about me. Mark had been the family attorney for years and we had gathered that evening for the reading of the will. Here are a few pictures from our getaway.
A HUGE thank you goes out to Victoria and Judy, from church, for finger waving my hair and curling it for my special occasion! You ladies are the best and made this occasion more fun!
We had a really great time and Calloway got to the spend the weekend with Mrs. Linda and I know they had a blast together too!
