Out with the old, in with the blue....

If you remember back to the beginning of summer, my classroom looked like this.
You can go here to read more about it.
This our theme at Will Rogers Elementary is Wild About Learning.
This is the entrance to the third grade hallway. My 3rd grade team did all of the decorating, planning, and work without me, but I think they did a fantastic job! It is so inviting.
This is the door to my classroom from the hallway.
And the inside of my door.
Come on in, just to your left is our birthday poster and hall passes.
This is a fairly good storage closet.
And beside the storage closet is the back of the classroom where I have our CAFE board, spelling and vocabulary words, and our Daily 5 bulletin board. (Please don't mind the mess on the counter. I was collecting all of their school supplies in this area for the first few days.)
At the end is another storage cabinet and our class fish.
This is my desk area.
And right in front of my desk is a bookshelf where I keep their Jungle Binders.
Then our computers.
Please take notice of my custom made curtains from my very own mother.
She did an awesome job and they look fantastic!
This picture is also a pretty good depiction of the color that I painted my classroom.
This is our main book shelf and I have big plans for him next summer.
This is my classroom view from the back of the room.
At either end of our board I have pockets labeled where each child's work goes once I've graded it and it's ready to be sent home. This makes it really easy when we do our Wednesday folders for them to quickly grab all of their papers and stick them in their folder. Oh and my favorite classroom addition, Mr. Geoffrey, our giraffe.
This is our supply shelf and leveled readers.
This is our Smart Board . I purchased the red directors chair for me to have something comfy to sit in when I do read alouds and a lovely blue podium with a stool.
This is our schedule board, lunch menu and calendar.
We've been working on place value, so my "Montessori" place value chart is there as well.
This is my discipline system. If you would like to know more, just message me and I'll tell you all about it.
So far it is working well.
Above the lockers outside our door, I hung some of those animal paper plates that you find at the grocery store. They  turned out really cute and the kids love them!
It's definitely a jungle in here this year!
I hope you enjoyed your tour. Please note that it looks much better in real life.
