Easter Part 2

Easter really began on Palm Sunday for us. Our church has a Palm Sunday luncheon and then the kids go hunt Easter eggs after lunch. Unfortunately is snowy and 40 degrees that day, so the egg hunt had to be inside. But don't worry....they got very creative.

Here Cal-Girl is already with her basket to go hunt eggs.
Oh, and that dress and matching tights came from one of my new favorite kid stores - Naartjie.
The little kids (Kindergarten and under) were hunting eggs down the main hallways of the church.
Of course, there aren't always good hiding places in the hallway....
Or maybe you just hit the JACKPOT every once in a while.
There were some eggs hiding in the grasses.....
And when you come across 2 GOLDEN eggs that are just alike, you have to go track down
your boyfriend best friend and give him one so that you both have one!
When all was said and done, she ran back to find Nonna to show her her loot!
On Good Friday, we were able to go and meet up halfway with our good friends family from Texas for lunch. It was so nice to see them, spend time with them, and do what Baptists do best -  EAT!
After church on Easter Sunday we were invited to a very kind family's  house for lunch. They attend our church and find ministry in hosting an Easter luncheon and egg hunt with goodies for the kiddos every year. They were so kind to think of us and how we don't have family nearby to celebrate with.
The kiddos had a blast hunting for eggs
and playing on the playground!

Unfortunately we went home for naps afterward and Cal-Girl woke up running a big fever!
