After having a birthday and Christmas, Cal got quite a few new toys, games, and fun things. So, realizing there was not going to be room for all of it and of course noticing that our child doesn't play with everything she has already, I talked her into taking EVERYTHING out of her room (as far as toys go) and sorting through all of it. We made a pile to keep, a pile to donate to a few close friends, and a pile to consign/garage sale. When we got everything out, here's what we were faced with:
This was quite the undertaking for a 6 year old. She was very cooperative and we ended spending a good
3-4 hours going through ALL of it. Not once did I have to talk her into giving something away. I was really proud of how well she did going through her things.
Unfortunately, I didn't take a before and after of her room.... :(
Maybe I'll think to do that next time.
